november days

I love hearing the moans of the holidays. You know. Which kind of pie to make, only one month to get Christmas presents -- that sort of stuff. Oddly, it doesn't seem to affect certain cats. May I also mention it is entirely impossible to crochet with Tiger.

In a secret photo shoot, I pulled out a big tangled mess of Christmas lights and achieved my first bokeh photo. I'm in love.

I get bored of blog designs easily. And since I have a cold, I decided just to redo my blog. I hear the groans out in the audience - but I simply can't help it. And I won't deny I didn't slightly copy Miss Carlotta - but she always comes up with the great blog design ideas, no? I can't help being unoriginal. And did you notice that I finally chopped off my hair? (see picture at top left) I miss it dreadfully, but I kinda like short hair.

We've already had our first snow. The evidence is a small tiny strip of frozen white stuff by the edge of our lawn. But I'm counting down until it begins to snow forever and we drink hot chocolate in front of the fire. Yum. That sounds wonderful. Anyone else excited about Thanksgiving?

I, for one, can't wait for December. Can you tell?

  2. @ Kara - well, I wouldn't say amazing. The design took me about 15 minutes minus the header. The header took me about five hours. Okay. Actually about one. I couldn't decide what I wanted. :)

  5. Love the design, it's so simple yet pretty. You're talented. ;)

oh, and I did notice you cut your hair. I looked at it for a moment and thought "hmm. I thought her hair was really long. Well, she must have it behind her shoulder or something." and then I read the post. I think it looks good, but I personally like long hair more. Though I have to admit, it is a pain to put up with sometimes. I'm thinking about getting mine cut just about the same as yours next summer. It's hot here in Kentucky in the summer, and I've taken up running as a hobby -- thus having long hair is even more of pain.

But anyhow, I've rambled on enough.

ps > I don't really think you 'copied' Carlotta at all.

  6. @ Bethany - SEE!? Folks, don't you agree that someone who is talented enough to make a blog design in only 1 hour and 15 minutes is AMAZING? - Come on now, when I was desiging my blog it took me like...a long time! (days)

    Love ya!

  8. I LOVE bokeh, and I LOVE the new design. You use Gimp pretty much for everything, no? What camera do you use by the way.

Anyways, your blog is awesome and yes, it's kind of hard not to copy Carlotta's designs sometimes. ;)

    *hugs*

  9. @ Carli Nicole - Hello, I don't think I've met you before (if you can technically "meet" someone on blogger). :) Anyways, I've been blogging on this blog for about maybe three or four months, but I had another blog for about a year.

    @ Blythe - :o)

@ Kendra - yeeeaaaah...I love long hair too, but it's so hard to comb. :)

    @ Kara - it's not talent. It's just a weird fact. :D

    @ Abby - I love bokeh too. ;)

@ Grace - yup, I use gimp for everything. ;D I use my brother's camera - a Canon Rebel, I don't know the technical term.

    Thanks for the comments!

  10. Canon Rebel. *groans with pleasure*

Bokeh is absolutely gorgeous, and somehow so Christmasy. I adore yours.

I just re-did my blog, too. I got sick of the inspidity of my previous design and left nothing the same. As to yours, I'm really quite fond of it - like Carli Nicole said, it's not over-the-top girly, yet at the same time there's no way a guy would have a blog like that. Bravo!

I'm sorry you're sick and I'm not there to tease you out of the downy-dumps. I love you bunches. *HUGS*

p.s. Your pictures. ADORABLE. AWESOME. AMAZING. Period.
